The fox-hunting museum of Senlis is located on the former priory of Saint-Maurice at the heart of the Royal Castle. Today the musem consists of four floors which recount the old story of the hunting with hounds.

On the ground floor, you will discover a lot of paintings that present the story and the fox-hunting discipline. These two showrooms pay tribute to the last owners of the domain of the Turquet de la Boisserie and to François Desportes, painter of the royal huntings of Louis XIV.                                                                                                                                                                 On the other floors, you have a lot of paintings with hunting sceneries. Some of these paintings represent Diana, the goddess of the hunt, the moon and nature in Romay mythology and also Saint Eustace, a Christian martyr and soldier saint, who legend places in 2nd-century Italy, patron saint of hunters and firefighters.                                                                                                  On the last  floor, you have a part of the Princes of Condé and Duke of Aumale companies and clothes.

The museum is open from wednesday to sunday (except the 25 December, the 1st January and the 1st May) from10:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00.
