Property of a great lord of the Renaissance, Anne de Montmorency, who grew up in François Ier's intimacy, then prospered under the protection of Henri II, the museum of Ecouen is not a house as the others: she registers in her stones the ambitions and the successes of a powerful man who is also a sponsor and an esthete passionate about art.

You will discover to the various levels of the castle of Ecouen the famous tapestry of the XVIth century: the hanging of David and Bethsabée, and many other exceptional collections on the decorative arts of the XVIth century: furnitures, ceramic, painted enamels, weapons, objects of measure...

By walking you in gardens and terraces of the castle of Ecouen, you can perceive in the distant the Country of France.

The visit of the museum of Ecouen is free. To appreciate the main part, a leaflet, distributed in the welcome, proposes a circuit-discovery in a minimal route(approximately one hour).
